Velvet Kills make their return to the stage!!!

Velvet Kills make their return to the stage on 9th of September Village Underground Lisboa.

This marks their first live performance since the beginning of last year's lockdown and will also be their first performance since the release of their latest album Bodi Labyrinth, now out on Manic Depression Records & Events, Icy Cold Records & Unknown Pleasures Records.

They will be joined by the live visual performances and Retropofagia of Astronauta Mecanico.

Velvet Kills announced their new album titled “Bodhi Labyrinth” Vinyl/12 released in March 2020 alongside Icy Cold Records, Manic Depression Records and Unknown Pleasures Records.

The duo opened the doors of “Bodhi Labyrinth” premiering their music video “Bitch Face” directed by Alan Deprez, image by Nicolaos Zafiriou and David Patel.

Awakening the labyrinth of our minds to be freed from hate, greed and ego this album brings us to the reality of our actual society. The messages come coded in sarcasm, euphemism, hyperbole and irony where the two dig into the files of a lonely civilization and question the purpose of life vs government structures where we "Cash and Move" and where love is forgotten. The performance will take place in Village Underground Lisboa, a cultural and work space for the creative industries, built with maritime containers and two old buses. It is intended to be a stage not only for music shows, but also adaptable to other cultural events such as theatre, cinema, exhibitions and conference space.

Village Underground (VU) is an international platform for culture and creativity, which has existed in London since 2007 and, in 2014, arrived in Lisbon.

It is a network of spaces for cultural production and exchange, which also serves as a stage for them. At the heart of this concept are two distinct spaces: a work space and a cultural space.
